Froch needs to improve on his footwork.

He was knocked off balance a few times against Taylor and got into a few awkward positions. But I don't know whether Froch wants to change from his 'terminator slugger style'.

I called the fight exactly as it was going to be, i knew Taylor would tire and i called a late KO for Froch right before the fight.

But yeah Taylor with a bit more stamina wins that on points easilly. He was just too damn fast for Froch.

Of course he can learn and improve. He just has far too much to improve on plus there are some things you either have or you don't.

Again, I disagree. Froch himself addressed his errors after the fight and acknowledged the fact that he is still learning. He recognizes his mistakes, so that's a good start to improving his game.

I think he does have a sense of defense. For starters, he fights purposely with his hands low because that's how he wants to fight. This shouldn't be mistaken for a lack of defense. He manages to get away with it because of his very good sense of distance and an extraordinary chin. This will indeed only take him so far, as pretty much any unorthodox style usually does (see Hamed against Barrera), but it hasn't been necessary to make any corrections until recently. Let's see how he does over his next few fights. I do think he will improve. I will at least give him the benefit of the doubt.

Surely learning a bit of defense wouldn't hurt him? even someone of the streets can learn the basic self defense.

There is nothing wrong with his trainer, his trainer was telling him what to do even telling him to keep his hands up and block with his gloves, maybe its just Frochs ignorance.

Ignorance which will cost him in a future fight, and then he will learn to defend himself when it could of been prevented before hand.

He also needs to learn how to judge better, he thought he was winning the fight and didn't really need to KO him, a little bit of urgency is needed for him to improve his chances against the top tier fighters of his division.

His iron chin made up for his defense but now he has to up his game, whether he has a chance against top fighters or not.
froch can learn and should learn to become a better boxer.

don't wait for the devastating loss, just fix it asap.

froch needs good sparring partners that whup his ass so he knows not to keep his hands down.

Exactly, learn now before its too late.

Someone needs to give him a reality check if he thinks he can go in a fight with the top tiers using the same reckless style, hopefully the KD by Jermain sets him straight, Carl said himself that he should of started to attack much earilier like round 5 so now he needs to address the KD.

I'm from Nottingham so maybe if i see him in the gym I can tell him to stop being a dumbass and keep his hands high lol.

Jermaine Taylor is a very skilled boxer but still been KO'd a couple of times. Does Froch really need to learn a new style at age 31? There's still a whole lot of boxers he can beat with his limited skillset, decent punch and warrior's heart.

I actually think Rob McCracken is a a world-class trainer.

He knows he can't change Froch. He makes the best of him.

I would say if Froch wants this bad enough he can do it, he needs to give himself the best chance due to his lack of skill.

He is almost 32 come July, but his style as of now doesn't really change with age he can probably keep this up until like age 37, hes a fighter but could easily implement some boxing into his limited array of tools.

One example would be the mid rounds where he threw an uppercut which was shown in a replay what would of hit Jermain clean if he had kept the other hand up instead it only reached like 50% of its power because it was stopped when Taylor countered him.
