floyd's body isn't in his prime, but marquez is even further from it. not only has he been in huge wars in the ring, he's also older than floyd and blowing his weight at 135. now imagine the slowed down lighweight in marquez going to 140... i don't want to imagine how he'd look at 147! i mean, it's evident that he didn't carry his weight well up even to 135

in my opinion, marquez would be a smarter gomez if he blows up to welter... he'd lose an unbelievable amount of speed/power/stamina and wouldn't be competition to any top welter.

btw, cintron is at 147. he said so recently and pressed for a fight against cotto. his last fight at 154 with martinez was just for better money because he left the clottey fight to go up at the last minute and face martinez

yeah at 147 i agree, but at 144 with floyd having to drain himself I think jmm is a much more formidible foe than gomez or jennings, but he'll still be a tune-up.

Not only interested, he called Floyd Mayweather Jr out after a big win
against Juan Diaz and said that Floyd is the true P4P #1 fighter in the
world and that Pac don't want to fight him so he will try to fight Floyd.
That shows more than interest in my book. I think he just bit off more
than he could chew & meant it as a disrespect to Pac & didn't really
expect Floyd to act on it. you think JMM wants to risk getting the
beating of his life and not getting another shot at Pac? I think not.
