Which weight class is this then? Because half of the fighters are from 140, who have never fought as welterweight, and even if they have they dont plan too in the future.

Williams isn't fighting at 147 anymore, he has said it, unless its Cotto, Mosley or a BIG fight.

Those guys are not fighting at 147, only Margarito but he is banned for the plaster.

@ 135 - The bold ones are not elites, I can also mention: Edison Miranda, Librado Andrade, Allan Green, Jean Pascal, Jeff Lacy, Denis Inkin and Sakio Bika @ 168 lbs but I chose not too.

        And Casamayor is completely done.

If i mention the fighters like you have, then the 168 list would look like this:

        Mikkel Kessler
        Lucian Bute
        Arthur Abraham
        Kelly Pavlik
        Carl Froch
        Andre Ward
        Chad Dawson
        Jermain Taylor
        Andre Direll
        Karoly Balzsay
        Jean Pascal
        Edison Miranda
        Jeff Lacy
        Allan Green
        Librado Andrade
        Denis Inkin
        Sam Soliman
        Anthony Hanshaw
        Jaidon Codrington
        Adonis Stevenson
        Sakio Bika

But being suspended doesn't disqualify you from being ranked. You lose ranking in moving up or down, or losing fights. Not from taking off a year, which is essentially what a suspension is for fighters.

In terms of Paul Williams, he's a player in the division, as is Manny Pacquiao. Manny is even ranked by The Ring Magazine at 147. If you took off 147, you still have to prove dominance over 122 and 135, with the roster at 168, and the numbers don't provide that.

            122 or 135 > 168.

Then why do you got AA and Pavlik both 160 fighters. Dawson is 175 fighter.

Williams said he is willing to go back down to 147

I have, it's a great division. It's just not the best.

Bute was also killed by a guy that Kessler beat. Kessler couldn't take the torch from the guy who vacated. Andrade can't get the big win yet. Froch could have lost, reasonably. Taylor and Lacy are as much as done. Anthony Mundine was beating by SVEN OTTKE. I'm sorry, that doesn't cut it for me.

                It's still a great list.

                Mikkel Kessler
                Carl Froch
                Luciab Bute
                Librado Andrade
                Andre Ward
                Andre Dirrell

But, look at things this way. If you took it figher to fighter, 135 would outmatch them.

If you took it like this, the lists embodied ONE fighter, 135 would be the superior fighter.

The last seconds of the video are him vs Denis Inkin...

168 lbs has a lot of potential.
yep, I think you are right, particularly with Paul Williams moving up in weight, Floyd in retirement, and Margarito out in disgrace.

Abraham and Pavlik have BOTH fought at super middleweight before. Abraham in his rematch with Miranda, and Pavlik in his rematch with Taylor, he even went above 168 to fight Hopkins, besides these fights they have had atleast 10-12 fights above 160.

Dawson said he move down to 168 if he has to, to get the bigger fights:
