    Boxing is dead without Pacquiao

Im russian and not bieng biased. Dela hoya is retired I believe if pacquiao is not around boxing would be dead. He's one of the main reasons people still want to watch boxing and buy ppv. The guy just gives it all and fights everybody. Correct me if im wrong even Joe Calzaghe said that boxing is dead. Boxing needs exciting fighters like Pacquiao to have fans want to watch the sport. Most of the people now are switching to MMA because most fights are boring.

    Any thoughts?

Nah man that's ridiculous, I'd disagree. No way. Take out Pacquiao out of the picture and there's still some exciting fighters out there.

Just for the sake of arguement, no offense meant. How old are you? Im 33 years old, I can still remember the Tyson, Hearns/Duran/Leonard/Hagler era, then comes the Dela Hoya storm. Boxing was so big at that time its like a super bowl event when this guys fight especially Tyson. What Im saying boxing as a sport will be on a complete different level without somebody like pacquiao to make it exciting with the drama, hype and all. Get my point?

Pacman is just the big guy right now, same as Tyson was, Leonard, Ali, Joe Louis... the list goes on. But boxing is still bigger than all of them.

Hatton would be the main man if Pac quit after defeat.
