I don't know about a tired Juanma, but I agree that the fight should have continued. Gery could have got a lucky one in, and I wanted to see if Juanma could take Gery down.

i agree, i always thought a corner stoppage was due if a guy was not fighting back.......gerry was clearly fighting back and landing good shots......

2 records broken, and look at the cards.. Juanma landed more punches in one round than Penalosa did in the entire fight.

Penalosa has an adamantium chin, I'm sure he'd keep going if his head was chopped off but damn no one should ever take a beating like that and continue.

Penalosa was very brave, but he was taking too many shots and had no chance of winning. Roach made the right decision.
