There's nothing wrong with occasional trash talk and trying to bait the top fighters in (although baiting 37 year-old retired fighters is kinda weak, IMO) but Froch needs to carve his own damn path. It's up to him to be better than Calzaghe rather than choosing to live in his shadow. Move on, Carl, FFS. Don't end up like Vitali calling out a 300 year-old Lewis.
What no one can dispute is that Carl came over to America for a his first title fight on a big stage and fought a big opponent.

    In that regard....Carl-1

Absolutely, I think it was a great move. Froch needs to keep on like this because he's getting older. Joe became a champion at age 25, whereas Froch is 31, so he definitely cannot afford the luxury of taking it easy, he has no choice but to jump in at the deep end. Good luck to him.

Yeah, I'll definitely watch his next fight. He should be able to at the minimum set his bank account up quite nicely. I would like to see him beat Bute, although it seems like he's gonna rematch Andrade.
