LOL, the Marquez and Izzy I know are not duckers, but then again, after last night they might reconsider fighting each other again.

      Huh?

What better opposition can he fight? He took on Ponce De Leon, a champ at 122 for a long time, and Penalosa, who gave PDL all he could handle over 12 rounds not so long ago (and KO'd Jhonny Gonzalez, who gave Izzy Vazquez all he could handle over 10 rounds).

He can only fight those that want to fight him. Vazquez and Marquez, the top of the division, don't want to fight him (or are putting it off), and Caballero has shown no interest in him, either.

You have to admit, two of his last three fights were against good competition, considering that those better than them didn't want to face him.

I think gerry would've fought all 12 rounds, but it would have been ****** to let it continue

It wouldn't have mattered if Penalosa got a "lucky" shot in, he landed a few good counters against JML and he couldn't hurt JML. I don't think Penalosa has to power to stop JML with one shot and that was evident in the fight.

After I saw juanma throw 1000+ punches last night in 8 rounds and he still did not seem tired, I think he's a star for sure. Penalosa deserves a trophy for hardest chin in the world.

Juan Manuel Lopez is a tough young fighter for sure but one thing
I noticed is that if your able to tough it out with him then you have
a chance to beat him. Penalosa didn't have the pop but he had
the heart and determination and took some pretty good shots
from Lopez. After awhile I noticed that Lopez was getting tired
a little more careless. Against a stronger fighter with the same
heart as Penalosa, Lopez loses, with that said much respect to
Penalosa for fighting his hardest. The referree was on some
bull**** and Lopez had a lot of elbows to give but all in all
                      it was a great fight!
