    Historical precedent says maybe not.

Walcott schooled Marciano in their first fight until he was brutally KO'd in the 13th. Yet in their rematch he was KO'd in one.

Froch didn't fight at his best in the early rounds against Taylor, he looked lethargic, his jab misfired and his timing was off. He said afterwards he was overwhelmed by the occasion and felt like a deer in the headlights in the early rounds. I would expect him to look much better in a rematch.

And Taylor's stamina problems have plagued him for so long now, I'm not sure he'll ever be able to solve them.

Still, I'd very much like to see a rematch, and I agree that Taylor deserves one.

The 2nd fight would look alot different then the first. Taylor would pace himself more which makes you wonder if he would give up some of the early rounds by not throwing as much. Then you have the factor of Froch knowing his power is good enough to stop Taylor, and maybe he just jumps his activity up early on and tries to put Taylor away within a few rounds. But the fight would look different, and either guy could win it.

Had his fight continued for another 15 seconds, Taylor would have won it. Of course he'll want a re-match, he'll more than fancy his chances. It'd be silly to write JT's career off just yet because he did fight well against Froch

Froch could not conceivably have won with less to spare - all Taylor had to do was stay upright for another 15 seconds and he'd have got the decision, but he couldn't manage it. Plus any rematch would probably be in England, which would be make it a great fight for Froch.

Still I'd be happy to see either fight.
I agree with all of this.

                  Taylor is some sh-t!!!

Jermain Taylor is some garbage, plain and simple. He was rushed into fights which has led to his career pretty much being mismanaged. He never beat Hopkins or Spinks, in my opinion. He is not a complete fighter, needs alot of work on his punching techniques and needs some more work on his conditioning. He is an example of an inexperienced fighter being pushed along too fast and is now paying for it by being knocked out in fights he could have won had he had the necessary skills...
