Disgraceful Refereeing

And there have been many fighters who have said they been hit so hard that it caused them to forget the rest of the fight and they still fought on and won.
Fighters fight hurt all the time.
Could the fight have been stopped after the first knockdown? Sure. Taylor could have stayed down; his trainer could have stepped in; and it's up to the ref to call it.
Should it have? depends on your fighter in many ways. The stoppage the way it happened was better.
For health reasons: yeah, after the first knock-down it should have been stopped but if we are getting into the health issue, it's better just not to box and ban it. Although, we can just keep it with the point style fights the amateur system has. Good luck on selling that in America even in its pussified state at the moment. But you can have it. The World doesn't revolve around America. But, how about you have your way of fighting and we have ours.
Three people decide: The Fighter, The trainer, The ref. The Refs is the key since he isn't bias to the fighter (hopefully), although refs know certain fighters can handle more, which is why Gatti was allowed to go despite taking a beating.
It was also the LAST ROUND in a Championship fight.
The Ref did a Good job.Comment

Okay Mozza, here is why you are wrong. Taylor was ahead in the fight. Taylor had not taken much if any punishment over the preceding 12 rounds, and he like every fighter deserves the chance to get up.
This is not like the Pavlik fight where he on the receiving end of a beat down for the entire fight before being brutally knocked down. He got tired, got hit with a few ****** punches, and went down.
That is not grounds for a stoppage, that is a reason why fights are not stopped when a fighter gets knocked down. There is a reason why there is a 10 count for fights to beat.Comment
