Pernell was a very good and elusive fighter, Floyd has been knocked off balance before too but there defense's are still fantastic. I am not saying Floyd would or wouldn't beat Pernell, both were great at there styles... but I can tell you right now that Floyd definitely wouldn't destroy Pernell, and Pernell wouldn't destroy Floyd... Pernell is the kinda fighter which people would find very difficult to destroy due to his elusiveness, and the same goes for Floyd for his defensive skills.after watching the espn classic fight featuring pernell, i came to the conclusion that his defense was flawed, and his offense was no where near on the level of floyd. He was dropped twice due to being off balance, and his opponent was not world class. This tells me one thing, floyd would destroy pernell prime for prime!Comment
