boxrec is not god. There have been several articles, this site included, that are reporting Celestino Caballero is just about a done deal.

He'll fight a bum or two before then though

For some reason I really doubt he will fight Caballero.

Caballero calls out everyone but it doesn't seem to happen for him.
Maybe it will now that he is a 2 belt champ at 122.

If they did fight, Caballero has more power than Gamboa has seen in the pros to date.

Gamboa has had a ton of amateur fights, I believe over 250, so they are going to move him very quick so we'll know soon enough.

i doubt he will be the favorite. Gamboa is a top prospect, therefore i doubt he gets a fight he isnt the favorite in....

True and I would love it if it did. It would be a firefight.
Caballero has a tendecy to brawl sometimes and give up his distinct height advantage.

I'm almost positive Caballero will be the favorite. Not by much though, like maybe 2-1 odds or even less.

I got Gamboa winning, but it would be hard for people to make Gamboa the favorite, even if he's a top prospect, Caballero has been on a rampage, is a unified champ, has more pro experience and his utter destruction of Steve Molitor was very impressive. Plus his huge size advantage and the perception (true or not) that Gamboa has a weak chin are all factors that would make gamboa the underdog.
