Floyd beating Pacman at 147 is the same as Pernell beating JCC at 147

Floyd is already an ATG, but this win would increase that status

I'm not sure, but didnt Pacman start at around 106 pounds?JCC,was never that small,in short, floyd should fight some legite fighters at the very same weight he is campaining at right now,to solidify his greatness!!Great fighters fight great fights against other great fighters!!For example,Mosley jumped up 2 weight classes to fight a prime DLH AT 147,that was the begining of greatness!!Then to put a !! on his career he just destroyed Margarito, one of the most feared fighters at ww!!!Floyd's answer is to fight a great small man as a tuneup at 147,to then fight another??

Beating a #1 p4p fighter stays with you. That's the kind of thing that goes into the history books. Beating any of the current welterweights is something which can be harder due to size differences and will be seen as just another win, deluded by time, since none of these welterweights are undefeated or accomplished anything that big really. Pacquiao on the other hand he is threating floyd's claim as the best of this era, Pacquiao is the only other fighter with a legit claim to this honor. Had Cotto remained undefeated and had Pacquiao lost to Oscar, then we would be lookin at a total different picture, i believe Floyd would fight him then, or stay retired.

Pacman started at 106, Floyd also started at 106 when he was 16.

Pernell greatness was secured beating JCC in his first fight at WW. Floyd will be fighting Pacman his second fight at WW

What made Pernell great?? His win over JCC or his win over Oscar

JCC had much higher status in the minds of fans than DLH did when Pea fought them. I disagreed wit the decision of course, but officially Pea lost to DLH. Of course he got more shine from the JCC fight. At least DLH had a case for winnin the fight. Not so wit JCC who didn't deserve anything close to a draw.
