What would FMJr. be proving seriously.

Straight up, I am Mayweather fan and yes the man has skills and an excellent team/advisor that helps to match up Floyd with the perfect foe.

I know there are alot of Floyd diehard fans on here and this is questions is directed to them mainly but anyone can answer.

As great as FMJr is, what does fighting a Marquez or a Pacquiao who both would be moving up from lower weights to fight Mayweather, do to his achievements. Does beating a Marquez and Pacquiao help solidify Floyds greatness? I mean seriously, these two guys would be jumping up in weight to fight Floyd. Floyd would solidify his greatness in my eyes if he fought legitimate WW rather then lightweights who pose at WW. Beating a PW, SSM, Cotto and calling it quits would cement his legacy. Not wins over Pac and Marquez.

As a Floyd fan are you proud of this?

So Floyd fighting a Marquez and Pacquiao would solidify his greatness even though both guys dont campaign at WW?

If I had my choice, Floyd would be fighting Cotto but I also suggested he needs some tune-ups given the amount of time off he had.

If he wants Pac, it actually may be good to fight JMM for promotion which in return serves as a "tune-up" for some viewers. If he can fight at the level he once did, which to me is debatable on what level he was fighting at before he left, then he should beat JMM, and if he tries; possibly knock him out; thus setting up a show-down with Pac; who by the way just fought at WW himself. Knocking out JMM is something Pac didn't do and people even debate his victories so be sure for Floyd to bring that up.

Personally, and few seem to do it, I go by fight-time weight to determine size better.

It will be interesting to see what weight Floyd is around now and what he will show up as...as well as his overall mental and physical condition.

He can fight JMM, then Pac, then Cotto.

What would I have liked to have seen?
Floyd to have not retired and fought Cotto...and whoever else.

I think he may have actually been forced out because of the Pac vs. Oscar fight.... Just a thought though.

In addition: Pac vs. Mayweather would be a HUGE fight for the Sport. Of course, Pac has to get by Hatton which might not happen...we'll see.

If Pac loses, then it would be easier for the fans to push Mayweather vs. Cotto.

Oscars biggets wins of his career wouldbve been aginst FMJ at 154 who MOVED up to fight Oscar....and aginst a 147 pound Pac who moved up..those would be Oscars TWO biggest wins because regardless of weight FMJ and Pac WERE the WORLD RECOGNIZED 2 P4P Number 1's.

This is what boxers do..they move up and challenge themselves.

Floyd, Oscar, Roy, Shane,Williams, Hatton they all do it.

If JMM and Pacman the number 1 and 2 want to move up and meet Floyd at 143 or 140....then so be it.

Those would be two fo Floyds biggest wins...beating Pac and JMM INSTANTLY make resume WORLDS BETTER.

Nothing. It might shut some rabid pinoys and mexican floyd haters up. BUT, I doubt it. so who cares.

As a Floyd fan I want him to fight SSM, Cotto, PW, Clottey, and yes even Pacquiao.

Two or three of those fighters, but coming out of retirement just to fight Marquez and Pacquiao who both dont even pose at WW wouldnt be great to me.

Its like Tyson beating on smaller LHW or Cruiserweights to solidify his greatness.
