good comment as that reminds me of a Duddy fight 3-4 back when he was on the Klitschko under card, and after getting the W in a less then inspiring performance, the Irish commentators for the fight mentioned that Duddy was lucky to have gotten as far as he had without a loss (and this was 23 or 24 wins)

so where was all this hype coming from about John Duddy ... as whenever reading about him I've always heard him described as a limited brawler.



yeah great news, as Pavlik-Duddy would have been the Great White Hype re incarnated (referring to the movie with Damon Wayans. )

This should send a message to JCC Jr's people that you want to make sure that you cash in with your first loss. You'll at least make a lot more money losing to someone like Pavlik rather than Lyell.

Duddy sucks, we all knew that! He got exposed during the Smichet fight. He is still a draw though and can probably get 1 big fight in which he will get knocked out within 2 rounds and then he is done!

Craziness. Duddy was definetly overrated but I really didn't see him losing to Billy Lyell. This blows just because I was really looking foward to Duddy vs Chavez jr. Hopefully it will still happen.
