Would Floyd look as great with the level of competition Tito had? Tito looked like **** against some great boxers, but at least he fought them.

Floyd has a lot more skill than Oscar, and made him look slow as ****, and Oscar made Tito look slow. My question to you is...since you know Mayweather would run, and counter Tito, how the hell would he land his left hook?

He wouldn't have beaten Winky at any point. Any point. Not to mention Roy and Hopkins.

In or out of his prime, Winky would have beat Tito regardless. That doesn't change the fact that a good boxer has alwayz given Tito a hard time.

I never said it was insignificant, I was just making the point that someone's career shouldn't be based upon the notion of how many times someone has been knocked down. Someone said earlier that PBF was never knocked down and Tito has, as if that was the end of the discussion.

Tito was better at his prime because Tito fought all that was needed to fight and always came out on top. His last two fights shouldn't be a measure of his career. Out of shape and out of his weight class is how he came against Roy and Winky. Tito never hood behind the notion that he won't fight someone based on their box office draw or suitability. If there was a fight to be made, it was going to happen. I'm sure historians can find fights that should have been made that weren't, but that sometimes happens.

In the end, we are at Floyd's prime and he has chosen to take the safe route to glory, and sadly; falls short until he faces quality opposition. So to answer the question of who's better at their prime, you have to say Tito, because Tito in his prime, there were no questions. He was the absolute best. For Floyd, he surrounds himself in question because he refuses to take the necessary steps to supplant himself as the unquestioned best.

I like Floyd, I really do; the skills he has are really only rivaled by probably Ivan Calderon (who's skills I think are probably the best of this generation). And I, like anyone else like to view greatness as it happens; but Mayweather has this false impression about himself. He proclaims to be the greatest. Greatness doesn't have to convince someone
