I love Amir Khan, he can do no wrong. I hope he cherry picks his way to world titles just to piss of his detractors.

    Rule Amir!!!

Actually if he beats Kotelnik, he gets my respect since Kotelnik is both world class and not a fcuking bantamweight.

Qute a lot of posts mention murray and thaxton, but if khan faced them now lots of people would complain, plus because its sky box office the no brainer fans would say they wanted a big name fight.

You also forget khan faced graham earl, who looked a monster before Khan and was one of the top lightweights in Britain

Thaxton and Murray have priced themselves out of Khan fights afew times. Either than or they've not been able to negotiate properly. One or the other. Remember, Thaxton got beaten last time out and he looked like a bag of **** in the process too. What can he offer Khan? Achieve something and then fight Khan.

Khan is on a higher level than these guys now. They missed the boat.

As far shortcuts are concerned, if you go back to fighting at a domestic level after having beat legend Barrera then that is a step back.

Khan brings MASSIVE money to the game, maybe that is a reason why the sanctioning bodies have given him a 'shortcut' to the top. Did you ever factor that in as well?

Boxing is a BUSINESS first and foremost.
That’s bull with regards to Murray missing the boat. Murray has called khan out the last 3 times he's fought and on TV. Even before and after the Prescott fight. I quote "how can khan say he's the best LWW in England when he's not fought me and proved he's the best in Lancs.” Murray also quoted "If MAB doesn’t knock khan out, I'll knock him out in 3".
Granted Thaxton is not longer an option but Warren probably wouldn’t have put him in him anyways.
I think Khan would beat Murray and I agree the time has gone by why didn’t they fight way back when??

You’re right boxing is about money and that’s why warren is having khan ducking all these boxers, so then he can make as much money as possible before the inevitable happens.

he should have faced them after Limond instead of facing featherweight Gomez.

Sky would have ate up a Murray vs Khan fight, not on PPV, because frankly people fighting below british title level should fcuking well be on PPV.

People have been critical of him recently because he is fighting handpicked opposition. Fighting someone you have labelled 'the worst champion in the world' is deserving of criticism.
Can you see the double standards here?

Haye calls Wladimir the worst champ and is applauded so being so bolshy. Khan says the same for Kotelnik and is lambasted.

Give the guy a break FFS.

Haye is trash talking in order to hype the fight. Everyone considers Wlad to be the best heavyweight in the world.

Khan is leaving a division that is full of very good boxers, in order to face the worst belt holder in a division that isn't as stacked with talent.

It really makes me sick to the depths of my stomach that here is a kid who is British and loves being British and has been a strong factor in Britain's resurgence in boxing yet is hated deeply for it. I guarantee you if he was black or white the same wouldn't be said.

It's worse when his own countrymen root against him. Here's the awful thing and just one example; they demand Khan be more patriotic and more vocal about his 'Britishness' yet when he fights Barrera, half of the ****ing fans turn up in sombreros, boo and rally against him.

Talk about double standards and sheer unremitting hypocricy. It's disgusting.

He's been knocked out ONCE against a MASSIVE puncher who is even bigger than Khan and possible several divisions above the division he campaigns at. He's been knocked DOWN several times and come back amazingly well and strongly (don't forget that he SMASHED Limmond's jaw and made a punching bag out of Michael Gomez after getting dropped by them both).

Yes he is a little ****y but I prefer to think of that as confidence. Afterall, he spars with Manny Pacquiao and can hold his own agaisnt the p4p #1 fighter on the planet.

He also isn't afraid to fight anyone, is ambitious and is so dedicated to his career that he uproots from his house, leaves his family and lives a spartan life in California in one of the toughest gyms in the world.

The hatred is unjustifiable in my opinion.

Besides, Roach and Pacquiao rate him extremely highly and they have a more authorative opinion than the rest of us armchair experts.
To the part in bold i completely agree, ive said it so many times to other people....people say "hes jst getting hype bcos he is asian" but thts false....its from what he did in the olympics...and its the complete opposite...hes getting HATE because he is asian and alot of people dont realise how ignorant they can be...i know people that say i hate racists etc yet they are the first ones to call any asians "Pak*'s" ....n its like i jst think 2 myself...what a fool

Also i think the media make it harder for him, they build him up so much people are expecting more then they should be of him, i bet if the media left him alone he would be working his way up still now at a good rate for himself, but then again, the prescott fight has him working wiv the #1 pfp fighter and best trainer in the world so i dont think it could of worked out better.

Also dont people realise he couldnt be that **** as they make him out to be, if the best coach is willing to train him....u dont see Alex Ferguson, Whoever the Chelsea manager or a Barcelona manager bringing in **** players for alot of money, so in boxing why would a coach who only has a few students bring in a **** young fighter? Freddy knows wht he is doin...

I agree he is leaving a very good division, but hes moving into 1 that has alot of good fighters too.....

Why isit that haye was trash talking in order to hype the fight...wen he trash talked BEFORE to GET the fight....

Khan has done the same by saying this and has got the fight he wants....why do u apply it to 1 person as trash talk but when its khan you switch it to make him look like the bad guy as every1 else does.....

Look how much Hatton talks (i love hatton 2 bits) bout other fighters....look how hes talkin about manny whos proven #1 P4P fighter....and people say they dont like khan cos hes ****y? *** off if u think that....hes not ****y hes confident theres a difference.
