Let's try and all be sane here now. Meehan is not a top 100 fighter and Rahman beat him with ease. Isn't this what everyone expected to happen?

with the division the way it is, i think he can take anyone minus the Klits(yes, Wlad too) and Byrd. As long as he's in shape though

Not a bad resume but add in his technical decision loss to Holyfield (who was schooling him), his domination by Lewis, and losses to Ruiz and Masgaev and how has he's shown he's a cut above? I've never been very impressed with him-he has a good right hand and a decent jab and can rough you up on the inside with his football-like tackles but really his skills and stamina have always been lacking. I want to see Hasim vs the younger Klitschko Wlad. Now that would be an entertaining match . . . .
u make good points, only i said that he could not beat Toney. and also i a making the point that when he is in shape, those fights he lost Rahman was way out of shape, and those big fights he won he was in shape and focused. in his last fight with Tua Rahman was over 260lbs, the other night he was at 230. and could not be beat that night by any HW other than Toney.

Anyone with a decent jab can beat Rahman, Meehan had no jab and had very little boxing skills at all aside from brawling.

I dont know if Vitali KO's Rock. I think whoever lands the first big punch will win due to the other one getting hurt. You also cannot say he does not fight tall guys well since he did KTFO Lennox. Rock has a good jab and a powerful right which may cuse Vitali problems. I would like to see that fight more than any other heavyweight fight to be honest. Toney is ok but he still aint beat a real heavyweight with power and in their prime. Holy is my boy but he is and wa way past his prime against Toney. If he fought Rock then we could see exactly how good he is and if he can really take a punch. Rock's jab would make this fight real interesting to me.

guys, lets not get too carried away by rahman. He beat a guy that danny williams beat in under a minute......who was the last decent fighter he beat?......lewis and we all know how that story ended.

Don't take this thread to seriously. Ruiz had Rahman in serious trouble on numerous occasions in their bout. Lewis destroyed him in the Rematch. Sanders had him all but out but ran out of fuel. Ice Cole gave him a hard time. And look who started the thread. The biggest JT niuthugger on this board. Don't get me wrong I like Toney and all. But he hasn't done anything at heavy. Holyfield is being forced into retirement cause he can't defend himself anymore!
I honestly believe the only person in shape Rock can beat out of alll the bignames mentioned so far is James Toney. But we will not see that fight. Toney is cleared to fight in Feburary and you can bet your life it'll be another D level bum for a "Tuneup fight"!
