If Froch beats Taylor, how does he compare to Calzaghe?

If Froch has wins over Pascal and Taylor then what on Calzaghes resume is better than that? Eubank, Kessler, Lacy, Hopkins? Does the Jones Jr win even come into the equation?

Personally I would say Calzaghes wins in order are Hopkins, Kessler, Eubank, Lacy. I'd say the Pascal win for Froch is just below the Lacy win, but if he beat Taylor that win would have to be between the Kessler and Eubank wins.

If he beats Taylor and Bute, I'd compare him to JC for sure. He'd be in my top 10 p4p if he did somehow beat both of those guys.

They are both prime fighters. Taylor has had a few set-backs and his hunger has been question but he isn't battle-worn and he is a world-class fighter. Bute is a good fighter who has defended his strap a decent number of times and has been dominant despite of a catastrophic last 30 odd seconds against Andrade who he outclassed for much of that bout anyhow.

calzaghe also had good minor wins over brewer, mitchell, sheika, reid, woodhall etc... froch has none of these.

He'd be the dominant force of a 168 division, which is pretty tough.

It's not happening though. But hypothetically, I would put him in it if he did win both fights.

dawson has a much better resume than that already and he's not considered p4p, same with cotto etc.
