All that would settle is who the haters are.

He's less elite than Pacquiao, obviously; but if the vast majority of boxing experts didn't consider him to be elite, he wouldn't have been P4P top 10 for all of the past 4 years.

Elite doesn't mean ATG, it just means one of the best, and most experts clearly consider him to be one of the 10 best.

U can put lipstick on a pig, but its still a pig.

        He is what he is......
The Ring publishes a wide range of opinions, many of their articles have been a lot more favourable to Hatton than that one. But in any case, that article is considering whether he's a true great or not, and no one in this thread has made any claims about that. It points out that he's less elite than Calzaghe was, which almost everyone would agree with - Calzaghe was #3 P4P when he retired, Hatton is currently rated #8. But if you don't think being considered one of the 10 best fighters in the sport, consistently, for four years means you're considered to be eilite then you don't know what the word "elite" means. It doesn't mean great, it just means one of the best among the current crop.

We'll just see what? No one in this thread has said that Hatton will win, just that Warren always predicts he'll lose in every fight he has, regardless of who his opponent is. So what exactly will we see?

You won't find any Pac haters among Ricky's fans, they're mostly Pac fans too. If you want to find a Pac hater, look among JMM's fans.

So why do you think he picked Urango, Lazcano and Malignaggi to beat Hatton? Do you think he showed great judgement when he picked the winner of those fights?

Yes. That's what London is, several million people walking around agreeing with eachother.

The Ring's rankings are not compiled by The Ring. They are compiled by a large panel of highly respected boxing experts who do not work for the Ring. The panel is listed here. I thought all boxing fans knew that.

I really would like to know how he came up with top 10 p4p list over the last decade. I object to the list.

Throw me a link or something. If its true then i stand corrected. Very hard to believe though.

Im looking at the ring magazine top 10 p4p, its says ricky has only been on the list for 22 weeks. I dont equate that to being top 10 p4p over the last half decade.
