And if anybody knows me they know that I want same day weigh ins...
so we can get middleweights and supermiddleweights out of the welterweight division...

like it was in the 80's.

i have written over at least 100 post about this one topic alone

I don't know one fan unless he's just a flat out hater that doesn't give Floyd credit for what he did at 130 or 135 bro.

You can't decide to enforce a rule that doesn't exist when you want to.

That's the one thing I don't like about people saying so and so weighed x.

You guys act like it's against the rules. It's not.

If it was, your points are fine, but don't make a rule up when it's convenient for you.
This is the huge problem in boxing.
We got Middleweights pretending to Welterweights...

and therefore instead of real welterweights fighting each other we have
welterweights fighting middleweights for a welterweight title.

          Here is the Logic:

Boxers have 17 weight classes to fit into. They should be compelled to fight within the one that most nearly reflects their actual trim and fit weight.

The primary objective of having 17 weight classes in this sport should be to determine the best fighters within specific intervals of weight. Not to pick on Margarito, but if he weighs a trim and fit 165 lbs. on fight night, then how on Earth can we call him the 147 lb. champion with a straight face?
Why have so many weight classes if the boxers being weighed are going to make a mockery of the system?

if cotto , shane , marg is too big for floyd that's fine. go back down to 140.

147 is too big for jmm. this fight shouldn't be made.
They arnt dangerous, fighters wouldnt take that risk if they knew their health was risk, they would move up. The small percentage that would thats their problem, look what happened to Oscar against Pac, thats to Pac's advantage and rightly so.

But like all fighters who move up they also settle into a higher weight. And spend time there. Jones did it at 175. Oscar at 147. Mosley at 147. And so on. Floyd looked to be doing the same at welter before he retired. What does "natural" weight mean? Floyd's body as it stands can't make 135. And if he did squeeze down that low it would be very unnatural.
              co sign to both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

So everything that is not against the rules automatically falls into the realm of fairness? If that is what you are saying we are just going to have agree to disagree. You got me on people blowing up after weigh ins are not breaking the rules. It still doesn't look good and WW fighting over 160 should be frowned upon.

No Im saying if he was still doing that. Everybody would be begging Floyd to move up.

his most effective fighting weight is 140-135

naturally he is 147 now because its ****** to move back down to 140 now that his body is acclimated to 147
