Peter was the WBC heavyweight champion and was coming off an impressive 6th round KO win over Oleg Maskaev.

Vitali came back after a 4 year layoff and dominated and destroyed Peter. It was a great performance and one of the most impressive "coming out of retirement" victories of all time.
    at the bolded part.

I agree completely. Vitali's performance was extremely impressive. Definately one of the best comebacks of all time.

              Pacman to the rescue

boxing, sad to say, is losing steam, but pacman and hitman will rev it up a bit in a couple of weeks.

              manny by mid-fight ko.

Henry Maske beating Virgil Hill after a ten plus year lay off is very impressive, granted he beat a guy his own age (42 years old)- but that guy had been fighting.

Hagler was also a great win for Ray Leonard. Leonard tried to press his luck with Camacho though.

Trinidad Vs. Mayorga. I mean, it's Mayorga, but at the same time, Trinidad looked very much in shape, though.

One of the saddest fights in boxing history.
