Black athletes weren't accepted into some of the main****** sports untill the '70s,sure basketball, baseball and football had them but not to the extent we have now. Besides making 25 to 30 million a year playing basketball 82 games, plus huge endorsement deals that alot of boxers don't get.Or you can start at the bottom of boxing work your way up if your good enough, fight 6 or 8 times a year and pay trainers and scumbags like Don King half your fight money only to get punched in your head 50 to 100 times every fight,I think its an easy choice.

        You got it right…

It isn’t that football players could necessarily be turned into great boxers, but rather there are probably some potentially great fighters that instead of going into boxing went into football.

Pro baseball players would make the best boxers due to the hand eye coordination that is required.

6-9....260 pounds and ripped to shreds.

No one would want to fight him.

Hes 3 inches taller and 20 pounds hevaier then Wlad.

And worlds more athletic...if he was a boxer at a young age....instead of hooping hed be the heavyweight Champion.

I always say this but the reason NFL/NBA athletes would be the best heavyweights is because they are already strong as **** they are also insanely fast

Heavyweights in America are not like in the 70ies, i know that, but i don't know how the **** a big football player could be a great heavyweight boxer and beat someone like Klitschko.

Being big and strong doesn't make you a champion. In MMA, former NFL player Bob Sapp proved that. Being huge doesn't teach you how to fight.

If size would be enough to be a great heavyweights, we should let the rugby players fight in Heavywieght matches too.
Their sport is more based on stamina and less on explosiveness than football players.
However, i think in the heavyweight division you have the right people in the right place. It's just that nowadays those fat asses lost discipline and that sometimes you have a golden era with too many great fighters( Duran, Hearns, Leonard, Hagler) and sometimes it's the contrary.
If you plucked out NFL players and tried to make them boxers, they would not do well. but when people say something like that, they mean that if you took these nautral athletes and trained them since they were young then they would be forces in the division. and this is pretty much the truth, although at the same time it is just another excuse.

and Id like to point out there that Bob Sapp did just fine in mma and kickboxing. he was beating the **** out of Antonio Nogeuria for most their fight, and Nog was the UFC and PRIDE champion, and in kickboxing Sapp knocked out Ernesto Hoost twice, and Hoost is arguably the best kickboxer of all time.
he probably couldnt do diddly squat in boxing though.

Europeans dominate the luge and the ski jump too. It must be because of their superior athleticism.

Seriously, think about it. There are 41 million African-Americans, and not one of them has ever won a medal in luge! Clearly, the Europeans are SUPERIOR.
