Why are you comparing internet posters' street fights to Professional boxers? The reality is that Cotto ran backwards to avoid taking a punch. And then took a knee. At that point, he wasn't thinking about winning the fight. He didn't packpedal to throw a punch. He ran backwards to save himself. Not to go out on his shield.

When Oscar 'ran' from Trinidad, Oscar was a *****. But when Cotto 'ran' from Tony (AND TOOK MULTIPLE KNEES), it was 'smart'. Yeah, OK.

Why isn't he is the better question. Mayweather suddenly wants to fight Mosley now that he is about to be collecting social security. It would be a big fight but it is a little too late for all of that my friend. Aside from the fact that it is what the people want Cotto has earned his shot. The loss to Margarito comes with a huge asterisk. I don't want to hear about lack of evidence, lets use common sense in regards to that little plaster issue. People have been foaming at the mouth for Cotto VS Mayweather for a while now and who does he fight? Oscar and Hatton. I'm not saying you can't pad your bank account but also remember it isn't about money first. Unless of course you're Money Mayweather. Cotto has the skills to give Mayweather some trouble in the ring. People wouldn't want the fight unless it was going to be a war. Do you hear people screaming for a Mayweather VS Malignaggi fight? No. Why is that? It's because everyone knows Mayweather would dominate that ***** from the bell. You can't say the same when you factor in Cotto. It's an absolute toss up. Sure you can state your opinions as fact about all the fantastic magical things that Mayweather would do to Cotto and how when Cotto went to hit him he would throw smoke bombs down and disappear and never be hit by a punch but until you put them in the ring you really can't say all that much. I haven't said Cotto would destroy Mayweather, I just think they should fight. It would be great for the fans and great for their respective resumes. People would finally leave Floyd alone. Sure if he fought Cotto and not Manny you'd still have the cult like following of Manny saying that he deserves his shot and Floyds a coward and so on and so forth but I don't think fighting Mosley is going to earn Floyd any cool points with the "real fans" as we call ourselves. So, you know that Margarito used plaster on Cotto?

When you utilize your common sense, it seems pretty obvious that he did. There are fighters that Cotto has gone twelve rounds with that hit him with some pretty nasty shots and he never looked like the elephant man. Can you post up some pictures of other fighters that Margarito beat that ended up with similar deformities? I imagine someone so strong to make Cotto look how he did would be that strong consistenly no? Unless every fighter he fought aside from Cotto has some kind of armor under there skin.
