You analogy is not only disingenuous, it's flat out wrong.. JMM would be a tough fight for Floyd, PERIOD.

There is no way that he is going to fight JMM & Pac and then retire. He wouldnt do that unless the WW's went to crap in the time that he fought the first 2 guys.

Also, dont be fooled by the tuneup crap. Its not a tuneup. You can tell that Sr was saying it more in a trash talk way then a real tuneup way. He's basicaly saying that JMM is just simply not on Floyd's level even if the weight was dead even. I know that Sr doesnt like guys like JMM who get hit all the time and I think he feels that Jr will carve him up even if the fight was at LW. Thats what I think he meant
i love how you guys know EVERYTHING floyd is gonna do.

"floyd WILL fight Margarito, don't worry"

Floyd doesnt fight Margarito, then it changes too

"who is Margarito? just an overrated mexican"

        then

        "floyd WILL fight Cotto"

Floyd doesnt fight Cotto and it changes too

"Who is Cotto? He doesnt bring enough to the table"

        ***** is ridiculous

Shane Mosley can't take more than four rounds off Floyd. Shane is at his best when someone trades with him. Floyd won't.

Go look at the last few rounds of Cotto-Mosley. If Migs can soundly outbox Shane, what do you think Floyd would do?

            This is good news.

Mosley is currently the best at 147.

I still don't agree with him fighting Marquez though unless he is willing to go down to make it happen.

This is all goes out the window the minute Hatton lays pac out.

Mayweather Hatton 2 would be signed on the spot.

I still don't get why he's fighting JMM. He is in shape and should be competitive against Mosley. Mosley is getting up there in age. Is this what he's waiting for?
At least fight a decent Welter or a Jr Middle. Why is he fighting a lightweight?

Why not Mosley now? Or Cotto?

                      Floyd's going after the money.

The only way I don't see Pac vs Floyd happen is if both Top Rank and Floyd exhaust all their resources and can't get the fight made. Floyd made be real adamant about not working with Bob Arum, but honestly...what other fight right now will give him the money he wants? I can see him fighting either Shane or Cotto in 2010, but the money is on Pac vs Floyd in the Fall be it Pac and Floyd win their next fights.
