If Paul Williams Ko's Cotto Would You be Impressed?

I was thinking earlier this evening, sure Paul Williams can go back to WW if he wants and if he makes the 147lb limit I guess he isn't breaking any rules by fighting there....but lets say he went back down to WW and fought Cotto for any random trinket title lets say the WBC because it looks the coolest, and in this fight lets say PW overwhelmed Cotto and eventually stopped him. If this Happened does this make Williams look better I.E add to his legacy? Does it make him look bad for beating up on smaller guys? Or Does it have no effect on the public's perception of him? I say he looks bad, and it wouldn't prove anything that most informed fans wouldn't have presumed in the 1st place.....opinions, comments........

Because he's a MW and he would be beating up on a smaller guy, it doesn't make him look good in my opinion..... no matter how good the smaller man is.

Slow Margarito did it so if Paul did it sooner than Marg he gets credit. Cotto isnt the same after Marg.

Good for his resume, sure, but I think he needs to move up. The fight would have, as you said, so many negative overtones given Paul's physical advantages. A win over Cotto, as others have stated, is always a good win if you can make the weight.
