Why does Mayweather Sr. think that Joke and Coach rhyme?

I only mentioned suffixes, because he was thinking along the lines of only words that are matched syllable for syllable can only be considered rhyming, including the suffix.
Such as:
Sooner
Mooner
Tuner
etc.
Nice try, though.

Joke and Coach dont rhyme, and if all hes doing is rhyming Coach and Roach, Im not sure why hes throwing it out there. I mean, its kind of easy to think of, considering that Roach is a boxing coach....

What if I said,
cOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOach
and lOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOan
But in the words we are discussing, "Joke" and "Coach" such an emphasis is not needed considering that they both end with hard sounds.
"Ke" and "Ch", which makes it a lot easier.
Sr isnt putting any stress on the OOOO sound at all, its a very brief sound(like its supposed to sound).
does not rhyme.
You try so hard but yet you do not understand what a suffix is.

maybe if he made it something like 'you have to be joking, Roach is coaching?' it would have worked, because then they have similiar sound endings as well as the vowel sound.

That was a comment targeted toward your general criteria of what you consider rhyming wrods.

Jesus, have people not heard of any kind of music?
Words don't need to EXACTLY rhyme. Listen to ANY music and get the hell out of here.
