Obviously in speech you would put emphasis on the part of the word that you're rhyming, in this instance it would be the long "O" sound.

I only mentioned suffixes, because he was thinking along the lines of only words that are matched syllable for syllable can only be considered rhyming, including the suffix.

etc.

Hes always saying 'The Joke Coach Roach' like its the biggest ownage ever, but Im honestly kind of confused to what hes getting at. Joke and Coach dont rhyme, and if all hes doing is rhyming Coach and Roach, Im not sure why hes throwing it out there. But in the words we are discussing, "Joke" and "Coach" such an emphasis is not needed considering that they both end with hard sounds.
