u crazy, hop has always been about money. after the first trinidad fight he said money over legacy. At 44 why not fight for money. hes not getting ant better, his legacy is sowed up. At this point his legacy is what it is. The only positive for bernard in boxing is money. -

I'd rather Hop fought Valeuv, or how ever the fk you spell his name. At least get a heavyweight title as a trinket on your way out instead of a meaningless money fight that PRs might not even buy.Comment

hopkins destroys tito again, it's not good for either fighter and it's not good for the sport. i saw somewhere on this thread or another talking about a good match up for hopkins being the winner of talyor vs froch. i agree, although, i never thought that taylor won any of his fights with hopkins, i think that at this point in both their careers, hopkins is still the better and oddly enough the FRESHER fighter. hate all you want, but since those two fought, look at their body of work in comparison, and it looks like the hopkins curse had been somewhat in effect on taylor. after fighting hopkins, taylors career hit the skids, he was winning some fights, but was almost outworked and almost utterly embarrassed in them. his performance against spinks, oh god that was terrible, his performance against wright is understandable, it was a good fight, but the only reason he didn't lose was because he was HBO's pet project. then against pavlik he blows his chance and gets stopped himself, then out hustled in the rematch.
hopkins being discredited in his fights going into them, and since the taylor losses, everyone has written him off, with a win over tarver, moving up in weight, to fighting calzaghe in a disputed split decision, to a masterful performance win over pavlik, in which this was the fight we were to see hopkins get knocked out for the first time, funny how that turned out.
all im saying is that between the two since they've fought, hopkins has not only looked better in the ring, he's taken on bigger challenges and done damn good too, 3 out of 4.............
i am excited though that taylor is fighting froch, i think froch is a ****er and if you're not ready, he will get you. i like both guys, even though i'm not big on taylor, i've always thought that he was pushed along too fast, but now that he's tasted defeat and has been able to get his foundation steady after being knocked out, i think he's ready to make another good run at it....froch will try and not let that happen......Comment

Now that I think about it I wouldnt mind if Hop goes ahead and finishes Tito off, maybe he will learn to quit trying to pimp the sport coming back every two years for a 10 million dollar paycheck.Comment

Taylor already beat Hopkins and Froch should fight Dawson. If fans dont mind seeing Mayweather vs marquez at 147 they shouldn't mind watching Trinidad vs Hopkins. At least hopkins and Trinidad are both past their prime. Mayweather is much younger than Marquez and will even have a bigger advatage at 147.Comment
