Do you think boxing should be like UFC??

Hi, I really like boxing, but there are some features in the UFC that I think boxing should do the same.

    For example:

1-Only one belt( All the best fighters are fighting for the UFC belt, surely, there are others leagues like Pride(I think),but all the best are fighting for the UFC belt.

2-Less weightclasses, there are only 5 divisions (lightweight, welterweight, middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight), in boxing there are 17 weightclasses.....

3- One association(almost the same thing as one belt), all the fighters are licensed to UFC, there are no copyrights or **** like that from the promoters,so in UFC 2009 game, they will have all the best fighters, in boxing, they can't have every fighters, because they have to deal with all the differents promoters and it's hard to have all of them in the same game.

What do you think guys,do you think these changes would be great for boxing? I know that UFC also has some flaws , but I'm only talking about the advantages.

    Thanks

I like the idea that one man decides which fights will be made, that would really help boxing right now. There would be no "ducking" accusations made.

Exactly. People act like UFC IS MMA. MMA is a sport (like boxing) with multiple organizations in it, like UFC.

Too many organizations (ABC belts) and promoters get in the way most of time of fights being made.

Dana White OWNS all those fighters if theyre under the UFC Brand, so White can really set up any fight he wants with the guys he has. It's almost an impossibility for Boxing to be set up in that way. Too many hands in the pot.

1 & 3 are false, there is not a single MMA association, UFC is in itself a MMA association and there are countless others. There isn't a single regulation body. Boxing can't be like UFC, simply because in boxing, unlike the UFC, the champions fight each other quite often, instead of simply focusing in an single promotion.

One thing I like about MMA, is that the best fighters fight the best fighters, no question.
