they both fight the same way all the time.....both like to battle it out, the only differences are, manny throws more combos and is faster, ricky is bigger and stronger....

i see ricky wearing manny down and stopping him late in this fight.

dont forget also that manny is smarter in the ring, has better skills, doesn't stand in front of the opponent, beaten waaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy better competition than ricky, faced more elite competition etc etc..

Why do people who think Hatton has a chance and Manny won't
dominate him like you think are Hatton huggers? To each it's own
opinion but frankly I don't see Manny being able to box in and out
against Hatton's style. If it wasn't for JMM counter punch technical
style at certain points in their match ups there would not have been
a technical thing in the fight to talk about. Manny is a speed demon
that takes the fight to you and overwhelms his opponents with punches
and in order for him to do that he is going to have to fight Ricky's fight
because Ricky is not going to let Manny dance around and pick his shots
for 12 rounds.

i think diaz has about the same chin as hatton i give you that....but david diaz should have lost a decision to a washed up morales.....and they commentators of the pac-diaz fight said that if diaz wasnt the champ it would have been stopped earlier...diaz is a solid b/c fighter but nothing more nothing less...hatton could have put on a boxing clinic against david diaz that night..

C'mon be honest, the Ricky who made Tszyu quit, kayoed Olivera and beat Ben Tackie would've disposed of Paulie in 5 rounds. It took him 11 rounds and if it wasn't for Paulie's corner it would have been a UD win for Ricky.

His style, although one-dimensional and predictable, was what was successful for Ricky. It was his own style, I don't think anyone else fought that way and opponents didn't know how to handle it.

Ricky changed his style because of his loss to Mayweather. What he doesn't realize is, whatever style he had that night, he wouldn't have won against PBF, he's just not in the same league. The bad outing against Urango was just about his confidence being shot after the PBF fight. They should have worked on his confidence instead of his style.

You think Kelly Pavlik will change his style after a loss to Hopkins. I don't think so. Watch him dominate the middleweights again.

use the ring, evading him from getting into a direct confrontation
so Ricky had to chase Pauli down to fight him unlike the others
you named. Actually Pauli was quoted as saying he was prepared
for Hatton because he knew that Hatton would be the same fighter
he has always been and he got a big surprise and beat bad because
he underestimated Hatton big time like Roach and Moore are doing
thinking Hatton will go back to his old ways to expose his flaws.
Also I think Floyd Sr is doing wonders for Ricky's confidence and

i agree,fought guys past their primes,and avoids certain fighters who are ranked...oscar is past his prime,way past,david diaz along with ponce de leon is one or was on one the worst champs ever....morales beat him and pacman insisted on a certain weight they fight,smart move by him.....i think he should fight the young challengers,ortiz,etc...these are the type of guys he avoids
