Marquez has zero chance to win this fight. He just isn't skilled enough or talented enough to hang with Floyd.

What does Marquez have to offer against Floyd? Floyd is better than Marquez at every area, including all of Marquez's "strengths". Counterpunching? Floyd is superior. Putting combinations together? Floyd is superior. Precision punching? Floyd is superior.

why would PBF bother to fight an opponent so inferior to him? and smaller one at that?

why would u test ur skills against sum1 who is inferior to u in anyway?

what does that prove badnewz sir?

He hasn't hardly settled in and is already gonna jump to a catch weight that will not favor him in any way. This won't be a Manny-Oscar situation either where Oscar was weight drained and Manny still maintained his god given speed. JMM doesn't have the speed nor enough strength to take on Floyd at anything over 140lbs.
dlh fights smaller GATTI, smaller SSM twice, second time at 160, smaller PBF, 2 weights smaller PAC-MAN. (losing to them all except GATTI) and your b*tching about PBF??? IF GAYLAHOYA CAN DO IT, EVERYONE ELSE SHOULD TO!!!

jab from the outside, fake-rush in, stop in midrange and throw punches, move to the side at an angle, move out if floyd looks to counter, move in-range if he covers up completely and go to the body then move out to midrange and keep the pressure on....rinse/repeat

He has the skills, Floyd is coming off a long layoff...Seriously, I think you guys are completely underestimating JMM's boxing skills

So why is he fighting JMM instead of SSM if he is so superior to JMM?

Floyd's waiting for SSM to get a bit older first.

Point taken. But what about speed, which is behind most of Floyd's power. He knocks people down with quick hooks and quick accurate punches. I don't think JMM can cope with the speed. He had problems with Pac and with Diaz early. I think Floyd is too fast for JMM. And with the added weight, JMM might even be slower.

These are two of my favorite fighters so having them go head to head is not as appealing as it is to others. I see Floyd winning by a wide dominating UD or late stoppage...i think Juan has to much pride and heart to be KO'd. I think both fighters have similar strengths (footwork, tactical, smarts, defense) but Floyd is superior in almost everything. To top it off, although Floyd is not a much bigger guy, he is the more natural bigger fighter. Floyd is quicker on his feet, has faster handspeed, has a bigger punch, and a better chin than JMM...so how does JMM win this fight? Im really hoping this does'nt turn out to be Floyd vs Gatti all over again.
JMM is 1/2" taller than Pac. And PBF is only 1 inch taller than JMM. I think Marquez has a chance to win at welterweight, though he could be slower but may add power to his punches, who knows.

PBF is under-estimating JMM, he`s not P4P#2 for nothing, he will get a taste of what Pac is.

And if by any chance JMM wins, that`s the end of the road for Mayweather. It will be JMM-Pac3 and Pac vs PBF will never happen, Arum will make sure of that.

Mayweather may be taking a very great risk for a tune-up and may lose millions of dollars in the process. Maybe he`s having second thoughts and making it hard for JMM to finalize the deal. PBF may fight Pac directly for millions, a sure deal, and just using JMM as a tool.
