    How does Marquez beat Floyd?

Ever since Marquez called out Floyd after the Diaz fight ive been hoping this fight does not get done. These are two of my favorite fighters so having them go head to head is not as appealing as it is to others. I see Floyd winning by a wide dominating UD or late stoppage...i think Juan has to much pride and heart to be KO'd. I think both fighters have similar strengths (footwork, tactical, smarts, defense) but Floyd is superior in almost everything. To top it off, although Floyd is not a much bigger guy, he is the more natural bigger fighter. Floyd is quicker on his feet, has faster handspeed, has a bigger punch, and a better chin than JMM...so how does JMM win this fight? Im really hoping this does'nt turn out to be Floyd vs Gatti all over again.

          With a pitch fork.

Seriously, he can't. First of all, Floyd is a welterweight and JMM is a lightweight. Too big, too fast, too smart. Floyd will adapt quickly to JMM. He will frustrate JMM to the point where people will be booing and then explode or potshot when the time is right. Floyd can adapt to any fighter, Corrales, Castillo, DLH, Judah. Watch the Hatton fight and see how well he adjusted to him. At one point, he even fought like Ricky, holding, mauling, elbows flying, pushing and Ricky just got confused. He's never fought himself before. And boom he explodes first in the 4th and then in the 8th and KOs him in the 10th and all of it was part of him gameplan. He did the same to DLH. I'm sure he'll come up with a excellent gameplan for JMM.

If JMM couldn't beat Manny, (officially - before some JMM fans crucify me), I don't see how he could beat Floyd. Floyd will probably knock JMM down twice in the fight and win by UD or if JMM gets old that night, it will be good night.

He has to counter Floyd fast and hard and cannot let floyd connectagainst his chin.. Baiscally he has to fight an almost perfect fight IMO to beat floyd... it will be interesting to see floyd fight after the long layoff..this is JMM best chance to fight Floyd and maybe win..

Make him fight at LW, a weight some Floyd stans actually believe he can still make. Fight night weight, blah blah blah.

against DLH..DLH got lazy and stopped throwing his jab that had narrowed floyd's lead that night.. But i'm with you.. I think floyd can be rusty but still can pull out the dub, unlike JMM who can't slip at any time

marquez needs to make the fight very very technical and tactical and hope the judges give him a draw or a SD.

but seriously if marquez ends the fight on his feet, he's still in good condition, its just that he won't be getting his rubbermatch w/ pac.

Floyd is making it a habit to face smaller fighters now. First Hatton and now JMM. JMM will be more credible of a win due to his accomplishments at the lighter weights. If Hatton looked small compared to Floyd and Hatton is a natural 140lber, imagine JMM whose just entered the 135lbs division 2 fights ago. He hasn't hardly settled in and is already gonna jump to a catch weight that will not favor him in any way. This won't be a Manny-Oscar situation either where Oscar was weight drained and Manny still maintained his god given speed. JMM doesn't have the speed nor enough strength to take on Floyd at anything over 140lbs.
