One, Question for My black brothers.

What teh **** is happening with all this black athletes, getting in troble latelyy I mean, All this NFL plaers, Some baseball and basketn\all players and now boxers too? WHy they dont understand that they are public figures and millionaires, they are not in the ****** anymore.

Said, really because the ones getting in trouble are like the very good ones, at their own sport.

Well I'm white so maybe you dont consider me to be a brother but one of the reasons is because when you're from the ******, you can't simply erase your entire life just because you got a break. I mean, some people can but it's not easy. The ****** is fcked up. It's hard to live in the hood from birth and then suddenly become an upstanding member of society. It's almost like asking why Vietnam vets can't just stop having post-traumatic stress? People who live in the hood all their lives can develope a similar kind of stress. I doubt he was out to shoot anyone, he might just not have felt comfortable not being armed. Unfortunately he's a felon so he can't own a gun legally. It's a wack situation and from what I know about the horrific Texas legal system, he's probably gonna get locked up for a while.

Yeah, Puerto Ricans are a mixture of black and white. It doesnt matter though since we all come from the same place in Africa, we are all literally brothers and sisters, no matter what tiny and insignificant racial differences there are between us.

Get the **** out of here... I was born and raised in the hood.. I still work in it to this day and I'll be the first to tell you that a REAL man doesn't let his environment dictate who he is or who he will become.. You have choices... and consequences... Vietnam vets??? are you serious?? you compare James Kirkland's situation to Vietnam vets... I grew up in this and I am doing just fine... I went to school got strraight A's, all-american football player, did some college.. But i'm not lugging guns around trying to be gangsta. Don't try and blame his hood for what he did... Alot of people will tell you that REAL men see great success through adversity. Its when you sucumb to the nonsense and lose focus that you become a piece of **** like James. He was blessed with a great talent, a gift. It pisses me off to see people waste God given talent and throw there life away. He was 2 fights away from a big payday.
