I like Haye and what he is trying to do. It is his charisma that is selling this fight. I hope he wins, but what can he do to avoid that crushing jab and right hand. The moment he gets hit with one of those or even the left, its over. Sorry, but he is in for a major embarassment

I'm not saying that the following applies in this case, but money isn't everything, and trash talking sometimes does go to far. Everyone's been saying in a recent thread that Ali's trash talking of Frazier was completely inexcusable, that he went too far, even though Frazer made a lot of money from those fights (by the standards of the time), partly as a result of that trash talking.

If he takes a right hook flush he's in big trouble, but he has very good head and foot movement, and I think he should be able to slip most of the jabs provided he keeps focussed. His boxing skills are widely underestimated, IMO. He can't afford to lose his self-discipline as he does in most of his fights, though.

Haye better try to make all the money he can from this fight, because this will be the biggest payday he gets, ever. Come the 21st of June his stock is going to drop. He talks a good talk but he will lose. Maybe he will be able to talk himself into a fight with Vitali later, but after he loses to Wlad he's gonna have to fight some real heavywieghts to get back into the title picture. His mouth will only take him so far, you have to be able to back it up to.

Agreed, but if Haye knows what's good for him, he will carry his left hand higher this fight. He has a bad habit of letting the left dangle too low, and he simply cannot afford to eat Wlad's powerful right cross behind the jab. Wlad's one-two is his primary method of attacking so Haye would be wise to double jab and close the distance with effective head movement. That will be the key here for Haye to win.

Whoops, yeah I meant cross, not hook.

I agree. And contrary to a lot of posters, I think he needs to try to land a lot of body shots, and not just head hunt.

As much as I think David Haye is going to lose to wlad. I do somewhat agree with what he said. He does have a point.
