If Mayweather is so small, why not fight JMM at 135-140?

JMM can weigh in at 141 and Floyd at 147. Fight night JMM adds like 5 pounds while PBF adds 1 or 2 pounds. JMM will be around 146 fight night while PBF will be 148. It’s a close fight size wise
WTF???? Yeah,Floyd is gonna keep it to 1-2 pounds so he can redress the handicap!!!
Flawless has plumbed new depths of nuthuggery with this classic! Call me old fashioned, but why doesnt he fight a welterweight?

      Because he isnt a welterweight.

so then you do agree that JMM is taking on the tougher challenge than Floyd did when he fought Oscar? Considering you have always thought Mayweather was better skillwise?

I've also always felt that a pound 4 pound fighter should be able to go up or down at least one weight class and beat a good fighter on skill alone.
ok so then by your own statement Mayweather should be able to fight at 140 still (one weight class) while JMM should be able to fight at 140?

cool then make it at 140....oh wait Mayweather doesn't want to.

If the fight does take place at 147, thats on JMM and he is looking at money moreso than anything Id imagine,
and again I never disagreed with that aspect.

but for anyone to say its a good matchup and going by your rules a fight at 140 should be the best since by your admission a p4p fight should be able to go up one and down one. Thats where both of them would squarely meet.

anyone thinking JMM can go up two while Mayweather doesn't have to AND still think it would be a good fight is kidding themselves.

but I dont think Marquez can beat Floyd at any weight so weight really isnt an issue with me.
        now YOU are just speculating

Hatton was a good win..as was him vs. Oscar at 154...since 2005.

          2. WILL COME BACK TO.

          3. Yes it does.....Its just like how ODH did Floyd....and even how Pac did Hatton....

          4. JMM already said he was movin up to 140 pounds.....Floyd aint weighed 140 pounds in 5 years and has been at 147 and even higher..143.5 is FAIR.

          5. I seriously think its okay...JMM called him out and Floyd called his bluff.

          6. All the WW's are booked except Q and Collazo and they dont deserve a big fight like JMM has been long overdue for.

Dude, we cool. I think we understand each other. But I insist that PBF may go back to 140 lbs knowing the kind of athlete he is... and he beats JMM. About Hatton and ODLH been good wins, nah... no way Jose..., huh-uh..., N-O..., no!!! Hatton was dead lock on the losing side of the fight. ODLH was no match for PBF due to age, and skills. I will never buy those two wins. Those were easy wins like Gatti and Baldo, period.

          • I don’t why people are arguing this fight is going to happen and Floyd will Gatti JMM into retirement

You won’t give Floyd credit, but I sure know that I will hype that win crazy

If he beat calderon at a catchweight of 168 you would hype it!

What if Floyd cant make 140 or just feels like why should I kill myself when Im at the top of the totem pole and I call the shots? Id love to see the fight at 140, but if Im the top dog and I plan on fighting at 147 after this fight, no way am I going to go down to a lower weight at this age against someone who needs me more than I need him, not happening. Speculating? Can you give me a gameplan for Marquez where he beats Floyd? In fights where I see a guy is pretty much better in every department, the only senario for the underdog is knockout pretty much.
