Best you listen to Hattons own corner telling him he is smothering himself and to get off Floyd , it was Hatton doing all the shoving and pushing and he wasnt punching on the inside because he got beat there too so he just mauled ,, why that was happening was that Ricky was too **** frightened to give Floyd any punching room .

In that sense no matter who he beats or what he achieves it will always be tainted by the fact he did it by mauling and holding. Ive never seen a fighter hold as excessively as Hatton..........never. There are guys like Mosley and Duran that would hold occasionally, but they never held no where near as much as Hatton.

I cant respect a fighter that holds. I just dont like it. It makes you cringe when you see how much holding Hatton did in 4 rouds against Castillo. How much holding did he do in the Urango fight?

You know for a fact Hatton's game plan against Pacquiao is to maul him and hold him push him around physically. I wont respect him if he wins that way. The same as i to this day dont respect his win over Tszyu.
i completely agree. only hatton fans will say otherwise.

The holdin thing is boring to watch, but no reason to not respect the guy imo. I lost some respect for him when he dodged Witter then talked like he was actually ever gonna fight him after he'd been beaten by Bradley. And of course the whinin about Cortez.

i respect hatton for his wins but I would respect his wins more if he didn't clinch and maul and wrestle so much

the bottom line is that the guy has been lineal jr. welter champ for the past 4 years....and is 45-1, and his only loss is to the greatest fighter of the generation.....hatton certainly has earned respect.....fact, jack

Hatton almost got knocked out by Collazo and its debatable whether he won the fight. Did you see his face after the fight? he was battered and wobbled in the fight.

He turned his fight with Tszyu into Wrestlemania because the English ref allowed it.

He held onto Juan Urango for dear life.

He done more holding in 4 rounds of the Castillo fight than most people do in 12 or 15.

Hatton was not allowed to hold Mayweather and he got destroyed.

This is Boxing not wrestling, its about the punches not the hugs.

why some people are a broken record in here, about this hugging thing.....45-1 does not happen by just hugging.....castillo is a inside fighter as well, late in his carear...sure its debatable about the collazo fight but i think the judges got it right on the scorecard hatton did win 7 rounds if yo uwatch the fight.....and the urango scorecards hatton won 10-2 in rounds....hatton def, should get your respect man.....and tszyu did just as much dirty tricks in that fight then hatton did.
