Hatton would get more respect if...

Hatton would get more respect if he had achieved what he has achieved, but done it without all the holding. It just makes people think he is incapable of beating those fighters without the mauling and holding. In that sense no matter who he beats or what he achieves it will always be tainted by the fact he did it by mauling and holding. Ive never seen a fighter hold as excessively as Hatton..........never. There are guys like Mosley and Duran that would hold occasionally, but they never held no where near as much as Hatton.

I cant respect a fighter that holds. I just dont like it. It makes you cringe when you see how much holding Hatton did in 4 rouds against Castillo. How much holding did he do in the Urango fight?

You know for a fact Hatton's game plan against Pacquiao is to maul him and hold him push him around physically. I wont respect him if he wins that way. The same as i to this day dont respect his win over Tszyu.

i think ur exagerating. yes hatton holds, but the opponents do a lot of tying up to stop his forward momentum. watch the mallinaggi, castillo, lazcano fights agin

the urango fight ill give u, after round 6 though

You can't win a fight by holding and mauling. Hatton is 45-1, you have to punch to win boxing fights.

          I dont think im exaggerating.

Hatton was holding Castillo. Castillo was just trying not to let Hatton out strength him and push him back. He was just trying to resist.

Malignaggi is the only fight that you could say his opponent was doing the holding for a change.

A lot of people think the Pac fight is going to go something like this,
Round one: Hatton lunges forward, graves Pac and starts to bear hug him.

              seriously it's a joke.

Hatton was initiating it like he always does. What do you expect the other guy to do not try to resist?

His record does not show how he holds his opponents and mauls them to stop them getting the extension on their punches. If Hatton had fought legally against Tszyu he would of been knocked out.
