i love the hypocrisy in this forum when there was a thread about if cotto and mayweather are the same size all the cotto nuthuggers voted yes, yet when there was a vote if pacquiao/jmm and mayweather were the same size these same nuthuggers voted no. mayweather was a blown up lightweight fighting at welterweight, bigger guys, he started at 130 lbs, he was a flyweight when he was the same age as Pacquiao.

i think it was after floyd beat brusselles or some other fight don't remember clearly, but he called out cotto. some time after that arum said cotto wasn't ready for floyd.

floy'd been calling out mosley since 130. at 135, mosley said they'd need to pay him a huge purse to make that fight happen, pricing himself out of that fight. after mosley beat vargas... when asked if mosley would fight floyd, mosley said he had a toothache.

this is all common knowledge so I don't have any links for you. just watch mosley's interview after the second vargas fight (I think) and either the interview after bruselles fight or the one before or after that.

2. The last fight Floyd fought, he spent the last few rounds avoiding his opponent.

And i agree Cotto is a better boxer than cheto. He showed it in plain sight before that plaster of paris begin to take it's toll on Cotto. and personally, i don't think Floyd is that great. I think he retired because HE's the one that's scared to lose.

I think you do cotto a bit of a disservice, the man has proved he will go up against hard opponents, he fought plastoman when no one would touch him, mosley and now clottey and LOL at the notion that baldo = margo, baldo was never a feared fighter and have a look at baldo record, its pretty poor at best. I saw that fight, and Floyd barely won it, fleeing from Hatton in the last few rounds, knowing he racked up enough points to run and win. He did NOT KTFO of hatton. And I am no hatton fan...i was very happy to see Floyd win that fight. I wish he DID ktfo of hatton.

My opinion is he quit boxing early before he got beat so he could sail into the sunset undefeated. I think he saw a loss coming and got out while the getting was good.
