I dont get it. The reason he decided to put himself back in arms way is because he had been "hurt badly by a right hook to the body"

All the more reasons to get of the ropes and not slide back in their for more punishment.

if he tried to move off the ropes and escape more punishment, he would probably have quickly found out his legs were no longer there and he would have staggered badly and fallen

I can tell by how Pac hits the heavy bag from training videos he does not hit that hard at all, and in another thread (unless the data was wrong/misleading) it seemed to show Pac hit a very pathetic score on a punching power test.
