Unless he wants to fight Paul Williams there is no point in Mayweather fighting a welterweight. He should not fight Cotto nor Mosley until they have had a rematch.
Will Floyd ever fight a prime world-class welterweight?

This is the type of response that alienates alot of people. Your thought process is, judging by that statement, that the championship makes the fighter. That is incorrect. The fighter makes the championship. Carlos Baldomir has to be one of the weakest title holders in the WW division I've seen.
Wins over any of these guys: Cotto, Mosley, Judah, Margarito or Williams would be held in higher regard. Why? Because they're better fighters. Lineal this or that doesn't mean anything to me or to others because the fighters I've aforementioned are much, much better than a former feather duster.
You do see the logic in this don't you? I'm not trying to insult or belittle you BTW it just in my estimation doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure this stuff out.
i know. but i figure i would state it before some mayweather fan doesComment

Floyd Mayweather jr=showboating coward.
He will always play it safe. He knows he won't be able to handle a loss because he is a mental weakling.Comment

He needs to fight Cotto if he wins against Clottey since I doubt he would take a fight against Clottey if he wins since there will be little money in it. Shane is still out there.Comment

I'd rather see him fight Cotto or Mosley than see him make JMM jump up two weight classes to fight him, when Marquez just got through jumping one. Hell I'd rather see him fight Collazo, Berto, Quintana, Clottey, hell even Bradley or Witter, than old a$$ little Marquez.Comment

So not only is he picking on a much smaller man in Juan Manuel Marquez, he's forcing him to fight at 147, when the most he's ever fought at was 135.
If he needs to fight at 147, why doesn't Floyd choose an opponent who prefers that weight, instead of choosing an opponent from a smaller weight division?Comment
