The weight takes away some but not much from the win in my eyes. JMM is higher p4p, more technically sound than Castillo and Corrales. No its not technically 2 undefeated fighters like with Corrales. But Pacquiao or John didn't really beat him clearly. Haven't seen Norwood fight. If Mayweather was the first to beat him soundly off a 2 year layoff he should get credit.

So would a win over JMM be better then Mayweather's wins over JLC or Corrales?

          Are you ******ed?

          1. Floyd never fought at featherweight.

          2. Floyd last fought at Super Featherweight (the weight JMM has all of 3fights at) SEVEN years ago.

          3. JMM has a total of 5 fights at weigths Floyd has campained at.

          4. My point dear boy, as I have repeatedly stated, just in case you missed it... Is that JMM is a FEATHERWEIGHT that has no business fighting at WELTERWEIGHT.

you will note I have not stated @ anypoint in this thread that I have any objection to these two fighting at 135 or at the outside at 140.

Hammer, the fight is not at WW, it's at 143...and Marquez said he was willing to go up to fight Pacman at WW...so now he has no business at WW cuz it's Floyd right?

Listen, I don't like this fight at all.I want Floyd against an actual WW.

WTF are you talking about, you by the looks of it have NO clue what you are talking about so how the hell is anyone else supposed to have an Idea.

Floyd is not and never has been a featherweight, that's not perfection that fact.

Regardless of weight JMM is the most skilled boxer Floyd has ever faced.

certainly more skilled than corrales and JLC.

A victory over Juan Manuel Marguez wouldn't mean **** if Marquez fights at a bigger weight. Why the hell is Floyd Mayweather looking to fight guys out off their weight class?

Is he suppose to be the best pound for pound fighter just by being at another weight, but taking on fighters that are just moving up in weight for a one time occasion? No fighter victories at another weight should be acknowledge for best P4P if he isn't beating the best fighters from his division. Floyd is no longer a lightweight, but still wants to fight lightweights that aren't fit to fight at a bigger weight class.

Imagine Shane Mosley fighting Paul Williams at 154 instead of 147. Shane didn't have the same speed he has showned he has at 147. Shane going back to his natural weight revived his career again and helped him have more stamina for his matches. Paul williams would have a big advantage at 154, but at 147 Mosley has a chance, because of his hand speed and good range.

Why are you trying to force this fight as a credible fight at 147? you know its not. How can any fan actually be PROUD of their favorite fighter trying to take credit for beating someone who is WELL above their natural weight classes, who is OLDER, been in more WARS, how?

This question would only be relevant if the fight were taking place at 135 or 140. Anything else is a sham.
