So they are moving the date up a week LOL...UFC FTW

But nah, I mean...2 high profile names in the sport. It'll be a an attraction, but this pretty much sets up a Pac vs Floyd if both win their fights. They'll have a storyline to go with now.

I don't know if Ill buy it if it's on PPV though. Actually, I won't (thanks internets).

Oscar De La Hoya had won arguably one fight in the past six years when Floyd fought him. They practically handed him that WBC title - why is beating Ricardo mayorga some great shakes? He was past it. When I think of Floyd's big wins, I don't count Oscar. Maybe big names.

And I find it curious that you consider weight classes in boxing something "measly." Apparently those who created the sport don't agree with you.

It's amazing how a washed up Morales was able to school Pacquiao with ease, yet a prime Marquez barely gets the win. (I did have him beating Pac twice on my scorecard)

After Mayweather schools Marquez, I just don't see how Arum and Roach are going to protect Pacquiao from his ass whooping any further. The public demand would be too much despite Roach and Arum desperately trying to tell us there are better fights out there, like the chinny Cotto.
I'm a big Mayweather fan, but I also really like JMM and do not think he's overrated at all. His greatest quality is how well he can ADJUST in a fight, if he's losing in the beginning like he has in most of his big fights, he figures out how to adjust once he sees the other guys' cards.

The only question is: Can he adjust to Floyd? My senses say no, and Floyd could very well stop him.

IF Pac beats Hatton, I can guarantee you that Arum and Roach will NEVER put Pacquiao in the ring against Mayweather. The ONLY way for that to happen is if Mayweather purposely fights like a washed up fighter and barely beats Marquez in a close fight AND purposely gets hit twice as much than in any of his previous fights.

For negotiating purposes, Floyd should grow a beard and dye it GRAY!

Any doubters, now you know what class Mayweather is in.He is taking Marquez as a tune up and you know how Marquez pushed Pacman.

How long will we have to put up with ye of little faith.Mayweather knocked out Hatton whilst on dancing with the stars and you still dont believe he's an ATG

I'd prefer at a catchweight, but that it, its a tune up, people need to remember that, its not as if he's coming back for this one fight, then if he wins retiring and calling himself the greatest, its meant to lead onto other things, aka pacquiao.

Yes, anything other than Mayweather-Pac or Mayweather-Cotto (assuming they all win their next fights) this November/December will be disappointing. I don't want to see Mayweather-Hatton 2 if Hatton beats Pac (though I'm sure that's the fight Floyd would take), and I don't really have much interest in Mayweather-Mosley, the other two options would bring more money to the table.
