Look where Frazier is now compared to Ali. People needed to hear his story, America doesn't give a **** about him too much now.

smokin hoe frazier is an old crybaby and the people that support him are tools.....the documentary doesnt mention frazier always calling ali clay, how he worked for alis license only so they could fight each other, and takes credit away from ali for winning the 2nd fight easily.....they throw the larry holmes soundbite in there without explanation, so the people who dont know think holmes was saying alis career was overrated......

joe frazier deserved more respect from the media & ali during their prime & now.

I find it very telling that frazier was called & sensationalized by the media a uncle tom by ali, less black or whatever. Even the black community were ignorant to the true facts shown in the doc.

it was frazier who was darker, who worked in the fields, who was poor, who worked multiple jobs to survive, whose family were actually ******.

Ali was the real house negro. Who was lighter skinned, who never had a job other than box. The black community back then, even now are ignorant to the real facts about frazier & ali.

I doubt he's even a real ******, i thnk he used the nation of islam as a front to save himself from going to the army.

For the War: different story. He had a right to do what he did. Longer discussion.
Even Joe Frazier understood why he wouldn't fight. I mean, my religion prohibits me from engaging in war and I would do the same thing Ali did in those circumstances.

              I agree.

Too often we want to conveniently label people as being “good” or “evil”. But the reality is people are neither all the time and have moments of being both and at different degrees. I didn’t see this as being “anti Ali”, but rather just telling another side to the story.

Ignorant post. Different African tribes have different skin colours. The Luo are much darker skinned than the Kikuyu for instance (both Kenyan tribes).

Ali joined the Nation of Islam long before conscription started, and to anyone who knows anything about him it's obvious that he was sincere if misguided. As others have said, his views on this and much else were coloured by the extreme racism he had had to put up with.

I was more on the lines with the not having a quarrel with the Vietnamese and a country wanting to draft him into an army despite not passing the test and still having racial issues from the bottom on up. Just to make it short.

The religious side to it: not sure how that works given Islam has spread through War...and, Ali is a FIGHTER who risks killing someone in the ring and does harm to another human being each time he steps into the ring. However, the "quarrel" part goes along with the boxing matches. In a boxing match there is an agreement to fight and both fighters understand the risks. But if his religion says no fighting, no harm done to another brotha...which I'm not sure about because I never read the Quran...then...

What's the fighting rules with Islam?

I also wonder this; would it have been different if it was WWII instead?

What if America was attacked and invaded...would Ali fight back or go down like Jesus?

                    Frazier is **** on...Ali is a racist!!!

Nobody is being honest about their so-called glorified hero Muhammad "Clay" Ali!!! He's a ****in' racist *******..who hated white people, but said that Joe wasn't Black because he was freinds with whites???

Ali is an over-rated jerk, who admittedly knew how to hype up a fight with his big fat mouth...but there's lines that one crosses....And, when you hit on the racial line..that's where I draw the line!!!

I'd like to give Radio broadcaster Howard Stern a big thumbs up for telling it like it is when he had Frazier on his program...Everyone feels sorry for Ali now because he has parkinsons'...What goes around comes around I always say...

Your ever so egotistical Ali is paying for all the bad crap he's done over the years, including cheating on his wives, and basically not giving a **** about it!!

Joe Frazier is The Greatest of all time...Ali, is THEE single MOST over-rated boxer of all-time...

One of my all-time favorite fights are Holmes vs Ali..Love that one!!

He **** all over Holmes not giving him respect either..but Ali got an old fashioned ass-whuppin' that night....It wouldn't have mattered to me whether Ali was in his prime that night or not..a prime Holmes would've beat him anyhow!! Just look at the stats for a second...

Ali pissed his pants literally running from Earnie Shavers when they fought, obvioulsy afraid to get hit..Meanwhile, Larry Holmes stood there like a man & slugged it out with Big Earnie...

And..I'm not finnished yet...I always said Ken Norton was up 2-1 over Ali in their wars..just watch them & try not to be biased, or brainwashed by ppl who only read headlines..Ali grabbed behind the neck WAY more than anyone in the sport of Boxing...and he got away with it...amoung other things like gift decisions against the likes of Jimmy Young.

Frazier has 1 damn opportunity to give HIS side, and everyone is all boo-hoo-ing claiming their poor little hero Ali didn't have a chance to tell his story?? Ali did have his chance..too ****in' bad now that his beatings from Smokin' Joe won't allow him to talk **** anymore...

I'm a white man, and I'm the farthest thing from a racist a person could be, but when Cassius Clay or Ali truned it into a racial thing..I hated 'em for it!

But why not tell Frazier's side of the story without going out if it's way to denigrate Ali in the process? Why question Ali's sincerity over the Vietnam war, for example - what does that have to do with giving Frazier's side of the story? Why dramatically play down the second fight, which Ali won easily, almost pretending that (a) it didn't happen and (b) if it happened the ref must have been biased? Why not show Ali's post-fight comments praising Frazier and calling him a great fighter and a great man? They don't excuse the severity of his pre-fight trash talking, but without showing them it becomes more than just biased, it becomes intentionally misleading. And what did Ali's adultery have to do with telling Frazier's side of the story? It's completely irrelevant, and was simply an attempt at denigrating Ali.
