Gamboa kept his hands up more this fight, I was impressed with his control, he didn't let himself get too carried away in the fight and he got more fluid as the fight wore on with his hands up so he's showing improvements fight by fight, he still has stuff to work on but he's getting better and better with his hands up. He's still a better fighter right now with his hands a bit lower though.

the problem with gamboa is he never truly had a game plan or adapted to anything. He just maintained the same sort of aggressive style and never really tried to break the guy down. He rarely went to the body and basically only head hunted with big power shots to my knowledge. He didn't throw combinations much either.

People keep giving the dude a hard time. His speed is sick and he has shown control. His hands are a bit low but I think he knows how to move out of the way to avoid danger and his agility is crazy. Like when he fell through the ropes and got up and threw a punch in under a second- impressive.

He may wind up getting ko'd but until then , I'll say I'm impressed
