Juan Manuel Marquez had his trouble at 135 vs Juan Diaz. Diaz hand speed was giving Marquez trouble. Marquez had two fights at 135 and three in 130. If he fights he will make some good money, but this is in noway a fair fight for him. He's already slow enough.
Confirmed! Floyd Mayweather Jr vs Juan Manuel Marquez in the Works!

1. Marquez takes the fight at 147, he's making his own bed. He cant blame the loss on anyone but himself.i like marquez as much as the next guy but if he really feels that unconfertable about fighting at something like 143 then he shouldnt have took the fight period. i dont see 5 - 10 differance as a huge advantage for floyd really. it sure as hell didnt help delahoya over floyd.
2. The fact that Floyd wont go below 147 (even though his groupies on this forum have used the excuse that he's too small of a WW to fight Cotto, Mosley, Williams, Margarito) further proves that he just looks for the easiest merit badges.
3. DLH is/was way past his prime in the PBF and Pac fights. The extra weight didnt matter because SPEED kills. This was apparent with the majority of the boxing world choosing PBF as the HEAVY favorite in that fight so the comparison is completely laughable.
You guys can defend Floyd all you want. Its not going to change public opinion. Floyd wont meet JMM at a catchweight? Well, thats more than bitchmade and just further proves perception of his careful resume shaping.Comment

The problem here is that if this fight isn't at 140 Lbs then it is a joke.
FM Jr looks like a bigger chump than most think he already is. So with that statement I call the fight to happen at 147 lbs. If FMJr goes lower than that and has plans to fight the winner of Hatton/Pac. He will not be able to do so at 147 which is what he would want.
At 140 FM Jr Vs Marquez is a great fight.
BUT I am surpised he dosent go up to 154 and grab another belt.
No one at 154 really. But that means having to fight certain people at 147. Mainly Mosely or Cotto.Comment

Sure, this fight is pure Floyd with regards to opponent and risk-taking degree, but to be fair, it was JMM who called him out.
And while I can't really see a JMM win, I would still love to see it, purely because of the amazing skill levels of both fighters. I think JMM would be more competitive than people think.Comment
