    What is Floyd's natural weightclass?

In light of all the Floyd vs Marquez talk, i've seen posters (mainly Floydboyz) flip flop on what Floyd's natural weight/weightclass is.

I've heard that he's too big for 140, yet too small for 147.

I've heard he's a natural 140lber and shouldnt have to face the top dogs at 147, because they put on too much weight after the weigh-in. Many of his fans say that his most dominate weight is 140, yet when the talks of a marquez fight come up, they agree with im and say the fight should take place at 147.

Ok, so which is it? Is he a natural 140lber, or 147lber. Now if you feel he's a natural WW, then there should be no excuses for him not to face any of the top WW's. If u feel he's too small for the WW division, then he should move down to 140. Plain and simple.

I always thought he was the perfect size for 135, I'm guessing his natural weight is around there.

By some of his fans logic, he's a natural 130lber because that's where he started his career at.

In that case, im a natural 160lber because that's what i weighed at 18 when i stopped growing. Never mind the fact that im 185 now.

I'd say 135-140 is his best weight range although I don't know how effective he'd be at 135 now. I'm pretty sure he could make 140 without too much trouble. And I agree. If he wants to fight at 147, then fight 147 guys. If he wants to fight Marquez, it should be at 140 the highest.

He's already stated he wouldn't fight below 147. He's still in the prime of his career, so basing it on his activity the past 3 years you have to say 147.

Some people here don't even understand the meaning of natural weight and try to formulate it into Boxing terms. I read some people here sayin 130 was and always will be his natural weight just because he had the most fights there (without taking into consideration Floyd was fighting in a similar pace as Gamboa now as far as how often he fought).

I'd agree with most here and say 135-140.

I mean **** changes as you age. I think for the majority of his career he was a natural lightweight. Than as he got older he prob grew into 140. He never had to go to 147 or 154.
