Another thing. Hatton has always performed well in his biggest fights. Tystzu, Mayweather (I know he lost, but it's Mayweather come on), Castillo, Malignaggi. It's been those in between fights that he has not performed well in (Collazo and Lazcano). Just sayin.

But I gotta tell you something, I'm skeptical over how much value floyd sr adds to hatton's game.

That Paulie fight, he used the jab a little, but he still steamed in head up, paulie couldn't miss him with the jab, thing is, paulie is feather fisted, one handed and provided no detterent to hatton getting inside.

Pacquaio's punch may be a different story.
I agree, Hatton was confident that Paulie wouldn't be able to hurt him. Hatton will be more cautious in this fight since he is fighting a guy with power and speed.

          Case closed.
Case reopened. Malignaggi could not hurt Hatton, that's why there was no need to clinch. Hatton only clinches when he's hurt. Same for any fighter. They don't hold just for the sake of it, they do it to get a rest or when they are hurt. The Malignaggi fight is not a good gauge of Hatton's style. Anyone can look like SRR when the opponent's punches resemble those of a 10 year-old boy scout's. Paulie's hands were ****ed. He had no choice but to hold on and ride out the storm.

Slight correction, He'll come steaming in, get hit hard, abandon the gameplan and steam in again.

I think if Ricky Hatton just pulls a Ricky Hatton against Pacman, he will win. I don't think Pacman has ever had to deal with anyone this strong physically, nevermind someone that uses his strength as one of his main assets. Hatton's handspeed is also good enough to keep Manny honest, which I think is why Pac looked so good against DLH.

Don't crucify me if you think I'm wrong, it's just a gut feeling.

However, if I'm going with facts and what I know, I guess I would just say this will be one of those fights where the winner is the one who can impose his style.

If Pacman is able to dart in and out, landing combinations, he will win.
If Hatton is able to body Pacman up, and fight his fight, he will win. And I just think that Hatton is going to pull it off.

You heard it here first. Don't be shy to hammer me on this if it doesn't pan out.
Know what, oddly enough,I have started to feel the opposite.I have said since this fight got made that I thought Hatton will win by stoppage between 6-9,but over the last week I have started to feel a bit nervous about the fight. That might be because I am a fan of Hatton and have seen nearly all his fights, but I think Its also the fact that Manny is about as daunting a task as anybody you could imagine,a great fighter ,not a good one,but a great one.

This really is a pickem fight.Either outcome wont be a major shock.Sod the nerves,I am gonna stand on what I said!

                I stand slightly corrected

That is also a probable scenario..

So you agree with me, it does not define Ricky Hatton?

Superstitions and ominous signs has got nothing to do with boxing Dan. Rabbit's foot, amulets, talismans, and Feng Shui won't help either.

You can't leave boxing to chance, it's all skills...
