Dont count on an impressive win. Bad match making. Smichet is a beast. He got robbed against Duddy, and the Demers fight was a lot closer then the scorecard shows, not a robbery but he won quite a few rounds. The one question mark with Smichet is weight his size at super middleweight. He is a smaller middleweight and looks chubby, so it is going to be intersting.

Good fight though, but if Manfredo wants to stand toe-to-toe it doesnt get past the seventh.

The money isn't that good, trust me. But he's looking to make good money in the future. He plans on fighting again possibly in late May or early June if he wins this fight tomorrow. Staying very active and slowly working his way back down to 160lbs, this fight is 168 and then he's looking to go to 164, 162, 160. After he stacks some good wins and is back at 160 he is looking for some big fights for good money. It's a strategic plan that will take time. This guy really wants to win a world title, he feels deep down he can win one at 160 but not 168.

I dunno if he can or not but we'll see what happens. If he loses to Smichet tomorrow though I think he's pretty much done.

Manfredo defeated Smichet by KO in the 7th round. It was an exciting fight, Manfredo had him down in the 3rd but Smichet fought back bravely and he couldn't finish him. But he got em in the 7th.

Now he's going to be working his way back down to 160lbs and chasing a fight with John Duddy.

It was excellent matchmaking, turned out to be an exciting and tough fight that Manfredo could win as we anticipated.

And your right, it didn't go past the 7th......
