maybe you want to tell that prime tyson theory to a certain james douglas, i seem to recall a fight in 1990....tyson on the ground grabbing his mouthpiece...age 23....weighed 220 lbs......biggest upset in sports history.....

It was flukish. It was a perfect storm against Tyson. He cared **** about that fight, and threatened to bounce on his camp if they made him do basic **** like run. He got knocked down in sparring for the first time before the bout, all of that pointed to his head not being in the game.. laziness.. Everything that's Mike Tyson is almost completely gone in this fight. He's sluggish, not explosive, not really moving his head and had a corner that couldn't take care of simple swelling to boot.

What happened on that night was a direct result of Team Tyson not being prepared and Douglas coming in prepared for the fight of his life with his circumstances. Look at the contrast it took for Mike to be overcome and it's more Tyson being his own worst enemy here (as usual) than Douglas being flat out better. I am not convinced Douglas whoops Tyson under any circumstances if they met, especially considering Mike showed the power to knock him down with a single punch despite the lazy preparation. The many posters here aren't lying. The real prime Mike Tyson who gives a **** ass about boxing mops the floor with Buster and is the favorite against just about every ATG heavy on paper. Whether he wins in every case is something else.
