I have little to no respect for Chad Dawson

I agree. It has just become popular for the morons on here to say Johnson won it. He didn't. *** those morons and *** glen johnson.Comment

It seems that the only reason people have for hating him is the decision in his fight with Johnson. No matter who you had winning the fight, it was a close fight either way, and it's not as if Dawson was an official judge in his own fight. So to those who dislike him because of that decision, I must say your bias against him is unfounded.Comment

dawson isn't a polarizing personality outside the ring and he doesn't have a negative style in the ring, so what's not to like? he has good skills, fast hands and he has been in a couple of entertaining fights so far. adamek, johnson, tarver, harding and gardner...not a bad resume....it's not like he's fighting complete stiffs.
i just hope he starts fighting some younger, accomplished fighters after he fights tarver.Comment

Exactly, people who say Johnson won that fight I hope never judge a fight for real. If someone who says Johnson won that fight, has their scorecard handy, I'd love to see it.
Yes Johnson had some big rounds. Yes he hurt Chad a few times. No he didn't knock Chad down. No he didn't win the majority of the rounds. Close fight, but Chad won. Simple. People get all riled up about it because they feel bad for Johnson.
chad still won by a couple points on my card. hearty performance by both fighters, and i ended up cheering for glen that fight, but in the end it was his fault for not finishing a man he had badly hurt......on the other hand, chad showed heart by coming back.Comment

Like I said before, it depends on the way you score.
If you score for punches that get blocked, then Dawson won.
If you score for clean and effective punching, then more likely johnson one.
Its really not that difficult, Chad got hit with countless right hands, was hurt, got outjabbed at times. If you count the shots Johnson was picking off to get inside, then yes, Dawson won, if you don't count blocked punches, I think Johnson won the fight.
Its not about throwing punches, Its about the punches which actually land.Comment

Chad Dawson has great speed, solid power, solid chin (sure he was hurt against Johnson, but he was flashed KD against Harding and got up from Adamek's right hand. Not too many guys can say they went the distance with Adamek recently, let alone whipped his ass) and he loves to fight. Chad is a nice kid as well. After his fight with Johnson and when the press conference was over. I got to talk with him for about 20min during the extremely late walkout bouts that night. I had him winning the Johnson fight as well, but i couldn't argue against a draw. Dawson is the best young fighter 175 and up in the game and if he was just a bit more marketable personality-wise he could be a big star. BTW, right now I would handily pick him over Hopkins and CalzagheComment
