Kessler: Biggest wasted talent in the last decade?

Only mother****er getting robbed is Kessler himself by his **** management.

If it's his management, he needs to drop them and get on the ball and make something happen, and fast.

Calzaghe had the same problem, and even after the Lacy fight he stuck with Warren, when he had the world's attention and could've went off on his own at that point. He became a star with that performance, and I'm sure he could've marketed himself better than Warren did with the Manfredo and Bika fights.

Juan Manuel Marquez is another great example of ****ty mangement.

But Calzaghe and Marquez both knew when to say "enough is enough" and go off on their own.

I don't see Kessler doing that. And the clock is ticking.

Where have you been? He flew to the USA twice last year to try and score fights with 6 US opponents.

Didnt he release a statement saying he wants big fights but no-one will fight him.

I agree it would help if he publically called out the Froch vs Taylor winner.

Everybody says that, just look at Paul Williams' list of people who've "ducked" him.

Take away people not in his weight class, guys on their way out of the sport, and guys who are already retired, and how many guys are left?

Has Kessler even made an attempt to fight a known opponet, aside from Calzaghe?

It seems to me, all he does is sit around in his sister's titty bar in Denmark and wait to fight a mandatory.

I have a feeling it has alot to do with his management I mean pre calzaghe he was on his way to completely unifying 168. Kessler had beaten Sicia, Mundine, Andrade, Beyer, Lucas and finally Calzaghe.

Now I know none of them are exactly HOFers but they each held a title at one point in time apart from Andrade which shows at worst they are ok fighters. If had beaten Joe then he would have had 3 SMW belts.

I think his management are scared of losing their investment since his loss to Calzaghe and are sticking him in dead end fights and endless mandatories. Hence the reason Kessler is sueing them

Can't remember exactly, but Hopkins, Wright, Pavlik and Taylor were all included.

Man this guy is good but he really needs to get his act together - even in losing to Calzaghe his stock went up the man has wasted too much time fighting tomato cans and looks set to waste yet more.

Kessler is one of those rare fighters that excels and has the makings of something truly special but so far doesn't seem to be reaching for such lofty heights. What a complete waste of talent I feel robbed not getting the chance to see him vs the best I really do.

Anyone else feel he's wasting his prime years? Biggest waste of talent within the last decade?

Unifying the division would've been nice, but he didn't do it.

And I'm not too keen on picking up alphabet soup straps from guys, whether it's Kessler, or anybody else. Unless it's a complete unification.
